My father owns a Crosman Mark I pistol that has a leaking problem. At first, we though the problem was the seal. I ordered a few seals from JG Airguns and replaced the one on my father's pistol but nothing changed: whenever we try to replace the cartridge, the CO2 leaks from the bottom of the piercing cap.

Anybody had the same problem ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Paul

it's the verry smal oring in the piercing mechanism. here is how to fix it.

in the piercing cap there is a star shape retaining clip remove it whit a pair of clip pliers .
just under it there a spacer and a o ring.
remove the spacer and oring replace and lube oring whit pelgun oil (oring are 25 cents at napa autoparts)
replace spacer and clip and you'r done.

here is a little pic to help
Image
you can see the star clip here verry well
i have the full exploded view if need be just ask

Make sure you use an oil-proof o-ring, the generic "o-ring in a box" kits tend to swell when in contact with oil (which will happen if you are lubing the gun periodically).

Just as a "FYI"- the o-ring on the piercing pin can be replaced with the Crosman 22xx/13xx .22 caliber bolt o-ring.

I had a Mark I that was leaking from the piercing pin. All I did was oil it and it stopped.

I have a MK I that is also leaking from the piercing pin, gas escaping from around the button.
I took out the star shaped metal ring (which was in crooked) but I don't see a washer?? I see the tiny o-ring around the piercing pin. Can I take it out, (probably destroying it), and put in a new one? where do I get one?
Thanks
PS Is this the kind of problem that one could help with at the Waterdown Show coming up next Saturday?
