Sounds like the kind of thing that happens over here, there is always someone who thinks it's their buisness to have a dig at others. It's good to see you are looking at other ways round the problem, hope it all works out ok guys.

Any tips or suggestion from your neck of the woods?...

As has been said, get everyone to contact the club, they could let them know that they have lost potential members through what has happened... being honest though, the folk that have made the decision will not care if they have hacked off a few people, in their minds they are right, no matter the truth.

I don't know what the rules are about shooting PAL rated guns on land but over here we would contact a land owner and see if they have a bit of land we could shoot on. My club have 2 bits, one is just a flat field where we have out containers/club house, this is out practice area and the other (on the same property) is a wood where we hold competitions.

I know you probably won't be able to shoot on public land but if there is any private land then you could just knock and ask or use personal contacts, ok you may have to end up going out of the Toronto area a bit (I know the problems you have with shooting out there). Just keep looking and something will fall into place.

Just another thought... do you have a sports council there (we have something that promotes sports, the 2 shooting clubs that I'm a member of are members) and we can get grants for things... if there is can you set up a club and get access to some land through them?

I will keep thinking if there is anything else...

We have one place where we know we can still shoot - the Burlington Indoor Range on Sundays. In fact, most Sundays it's open to 'Air Only' and you don't have to be a member to shoot during this time.

SO FT isn't dead in the water, it's just been forced to move indoors for now.

While we are working on getting things outside going again, we are also trying to setup a date for the next match at Burlington.

The Sunday we had hoped for isn't available, so we're working on securing another date.
