Yep - a mini-sidewheel. This scope is only 16X, so with the limited ability for really accurate ranging, I didn't see any point in going too large and unweildy with the sidewheel. The range markings are spaced at about the same, or perhaps a bit wider, than those on an average front A/O scope.

I also decided to add a bit of CAFTA bling to the face of the knob, where one would normally find the manufacturer's logo.

A small section of the black anodizing has been filed away from the forward edge of the rear scope ring cap to act as a pointer for the range markings.

Now all you have to do is make a mold in lost wax and get them mass produced in pot metal at some sweat shop in Chinatown and take it to the Dragon's Den.... :mrgreen:

I like the grippy-looking knurling as well as the CAFTA bling, (lapel pin ?) I assume so, giving me an idea of the size. BTW how did you attach that?
What's the outer diameter ?

The CAFTA badge is held on with JB Weld.
The outer diameter of the knob section is around 1.5", the OD of the range marked section is around 2.5".
