Most field target shooting is done from one but I have never seen one advertised for sale on any air gun outfitter site.

What do you guys use? Could some old hands give some pointers on what works and what doesn't?

I also don't recall seeing any edicts about them in ISSF rules.....what is permitted and what is not?

Try Canadiantire, you dont need anything expensive.

I have one but got it from UK before i moved, used it for FT, very useful especially if its rained, also used to keep your rifle out of the mud and water.

For CAFTA rules see page#1 section 4, A & B
http://www.caftahome.com/CAFTA%20Shoot% ... 202009.pdf

4) Shooting Equipment and Accessories
A) Bum bags and cushions are allowed to be used by all competitors, provided they are not higher than 6” (15cm). All competitors may use a shooting mat to keep their clothes from getting dirty or wet.
B) Portable seats, which are 18” (46cm) or less in height, will be allowed in the Open and Hunter Divisions, provided that they do not have a backrest. Portable seats will be allowed in the International Division, provided they are not higher

airgunsource happens to have one on sale for $7....But there are "better" versions you can fill yourself, they look like a gigantic grandma seat for a bicycle, made of fabric......

That is because bum bags are not used for any ISSF sanctioned shooting disciplines.
Field Target is a completely separate entity from the ISSF, and is therefore governed by a completely different set of rules.
