As promised after the August FT match in Port Colborne, there will be a pistol FT match at the Port Colborne Club on Saturday, September 17th. The timeline will be the same as rifle matches, with the gates opening at 8:00 AM, the sight-in range opening at approximately 9:30 AM, the shooters meeting at 10:45 AM and the match starting at 11:00 AM.

We are planning for at least a 40 shot match and it may turn out to be up to 60 shots, depending on the number of suitable targets brought out. Just between myself and Don, we have 20 targets, so 40 shots would be a minimum. Every extra target brought to the match will add two shots, up to a maximum of 60 shots. Gamo targets are the most reliable at this lower power.

We will have three divisions based on sighting. There will be a steel or open sight division, a red dot division and a magnified sight division with scopes up to 12X magnification. No gun should exceed 500fps or 8 ft/lb of energy. Targets will be placed from 10 to 25 yards and no kill zone will be smaller than 1.5". The seated position may be used or sitting on a stool. Nothing but your body may be used to support the gun. No straps or harnesses may be used. For offhand shooting, only the body may be used to support the gun.

We will have awards for each division, based on the number confirmed in that division by Wednesday morning, the 14th. Please contact me as soon as you can to let me know if you will be able to make it or not. If you will be attending, be sure to tell me what division you will be shooting in. Thanks.

Hope to see a bunch of you on Saturday morning.

To see some pictures from the match, follow the link.

Put them up for the wrong date, but, oh well.
