The Cometa Lynx looks really promising. I like the robust receiver, the free floated barrel, simple regulated bottle.

I have read that the trigger can be adjusted up quite nicely, and they have good accuracy. So far the only negatives I have read on them are oring leaks on the bottle/regulator. Should be a simple fix by installing better quality orings.

So please let us know how you like yours when it arrives. Give us your report when you get the time.

Thanks, I have been on the European forums for up to date info reviews on recent guns show no problems.
Someone has to try one out!
Nice thing is they use a standard reg and all the guns have been accurate.
We will see how they compare to the AT 44.
I didn't see you at Ft all year, are you coming out in 2012?...Kelly

I like the gun, it sounds great, but there is only one thing that bugs me a bit. The gun only shoots up to 495F/S. Are there any of these guns out there that will shoot over 500, say 850f/s or even higher? I'm still not very sure about this gun.

Rather than spend $700 I can go and buy myself that Haatsan, for like $300, my goodness, I can buy two for that price.

Anyone have any Idea what the rules are for less than 500F/S

Thanks much Appreciated.

Biagio

On a US site, they stated the possibility of 44 ft/lb, so it would be safe to think it could be tuned up to 850fps with some adjustment to the regulator and hammer spring.

The rules for under 500fps were created because the CFO shut us down at the Port Club. No Canadian rules existed specifically for an outdoor air gun range. At that time, I contacted the CFO and we worked out a template for a 20ftlb air gun range. Once approved, we have not used the sub 500fps rifle rules.

The only real difference between the high power rules and sub 500 rules were the distances and kill zone size guidelines. We had a couple of matches under these rules with the max range at 35 yard and had a good time. We did find that there were not that many people who had FT accurate, sub 500fps rifles.

We use sub 500 for the pistol matches for obvious reasons.

Got it today, just finished filling it and i ran a few over the chrony.

Easy to work on and tweak.
Adj.Hammer with stock on ,regulator can be shimmed or changed on the bottle.
Hopefully it is a tack driver.
By the way, Valley paintball can fill HPA. up to 4500psi,I'm looking at a Carbon fiber bottle now...kelly
