Well back to my review for a bit!

I've now put about 500 rounds threw the .22 Alecto after installing the new barrel and I just can't get enough of these pistols. Right now I'm just running with open sights and if I find my grip and breathing and put it together, it stacks JSB RS pellets. And with the new break there is no recoil what so ever with one and two pump, but a little when fully charged. The sound signature is nothing now, I hear the pellet hitting the cardboard backing on my silent trap( one pump). Can't wait to get a red dot for it.....maybe a Bushnell TRS. It really does deserve it!

After many hours of shooting since i bought my .177 alecto, i have noticed how well broke in my .22 pistol really is. the trigger is so much smoother then my .177, difference being the .22 has almost 10000 rounds threw it while the .177 has maybe 600. i'v got both the trigger pretty much the same in weight and pull length, but with due time the .177 will break in.

i've also noticed a difference in the resistance in the pumps, the .22 is much easier then .177 just hoping its a break-in thing and nothing else. one of these days ill get out with the chrony...

Well I purchased a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot sight for the .177 Alecto, and is it ever a small device. I've got about 1000 rounds threw the .177 model now and yes the trigger is breaking in with use now, and the new barrel is starting to group JSB Exact 8.44gr pellets very nice. Just waiting for my delivery of JSB Exact heavies to arrive, then the comparison will start.

The .22 alecto has at least 10,000 rounds and is running flawlessly! I do find this caliber likes a minimum of 2 pumps for good groups and does even better with three, the closer i could get the pellets to the 490+ range, the better they stacked in the duct seal. This by far is the quiest of my two Alectos and it just loves to eat those JSB RS pellets!

One of these days I'll have to disassemble the .22 Alecto and do an inspection on the pivot pins and the holes, Im interested to see if there has been any elongation of the front pivot due the amount of use it seen, it still feels as solid as it did when i first bought it. But things usually happen so slow that its almost impossible to notice it before one becomes accustom to it.

Well I'm on vacation so I brought my alectos with me and do some crony work. Was shooting the .22 Alecto in the hot summer sun when it's started doing the "seagul" sound again, and from previous experience I know where to go. I disassembled the valve and removed the transfer port, and started cleaning inside the body with a q-tip. After a few wipes I found another piece of metal, it was appeared to be radiused so started to investigate. Searched the body and could find no area or threads that were damaged, so I turned to the valve stem. After close investigation I noticed that the face of the spring had been sanded or machined flat not create nice seating this is where my problems have been coming from! The tail ends of the spring are sanded or machined so fine that they have broke free from use and leaving debris in the valve, once removed its running fine once again!

Did a little inspection on my .22 Alecto and noticed that one leg on the sear spring has broken off. Not sure how or why but it's broken. The pistol still operates every time for me but I'm not sure how safe this pistol is now. I'm probably the first person to experience this issue so I'm not sure how to deal with this, I obviously need to replace it.

I have put an ACOG on with 4 times magnification. It's pretty fun for bench shooting. It's a "replica" from Hongkong with surprisingly good optics.

Sure looks like a fun set up! How heavy is the Chinese ACOG?

WOO HOO!

A new Alecto .177 made an appearance at the shop about 15 minutes ago.

Didn't have any .177 pellets to try it out though....only a few .25 Kings here.

But...

Had a piece of .25 Marauder barrel turned and blued...popped right in. 8) Hits with a good smack...need to tweak the relief valve later when I have a chrony on hand.

Nice pistol...I'm thinking I'm going to like this one too. :)

So ya, the Alecto wi the broken sear spring finally became unpredictable so I put it down. Sure glad I have two! So I got back to shooting this pistol after along time out of the game due to injury, all I can say is " what a tack driver". With my 10" .177 choked barrel, this pistol will produce 1/4 rag holes at 10 meters with a single pump. This is truly a target pistol on drugs!

I forgot how crisp and sensitive the trigger is. And after shooting my CO2 revolver for a bit, the Alecto with one pump is so quiet! the Alecto is such a great pistol!

Bought a 177 Alecto from Penage Guy. Fantastic pistol. All my shooting buds(one is a hard core powderburner) have fallen in love with the pistol.
Put an Aim red dot on the pistol and shooting 50 ft is a breeze. Bullseye accuracy when shooting off a rest.
Just ordered a left hand grip so my shooting may even improve.
I assume the .22 shoots just as well.

John :D

The barrels were purchased from scopes and ammo, they were originally designed for the crosman xx40 pistol. I machined them to the dimensions of the OEM barrel, plus added a few small changes to help wih removal.

After a busy daddy summer I'm getting the dust blown off the Alecto. Darn this pistol has not lost its magic, not one bit. Right now it sits with a 10" .177 barrel and launches the JSB heavies with insane accuracy, I can't stop loving this pistol. I've lost count of how many tins have been put down the pipe! lol

Using RWS cylinder tube sure hasn't hurt this pistol in anyway and has preserved the seal nicely. It sat for a few months at least and is still within 5FPS of my chrony numbers I got many moons ago.

So again, great pistol!
