Just located a piston and breech seal for my 630, but want to upgrade the spring! Have heard that I could use a Crosman Phantom spring as replacement? Can any of you guys/gals confirm this, and how many coils need to be clipped to have it work smoothly?
Thanks for any input!

Think it is too big in diameter to fit.

I did some digging into Slavia 630/631 springs a while back when I got mine. I believe the HW30S spring will fit, no idea of the power. I am happy enough with my stock spring. After a lube tune it spits standard pellets at 500 fps, so its good enough for me. :drinkers:

Not really interested in more power just that the stock spring has crapped out on me! Thanks Walter, I think you might just be right about the dia. of a Phantom spring being to large. Thanks for the heads up on a HW30S spring Dave. Will definately look into it.

Well i just did a spring and piston seal replacement last week, got it from D&L spring was $7 and the seal $15
#2 Utility Mainspring is the one that worked fine, I did have to compress it tho but was easy enough no need to trim it at all
it is the right size and coil count

Has anyone put the replacement spring through a chronograph? My stock slavia 630 that is about 9 years old is spitting crosman premier hollowpoints out at an average of 523.5 ft/s.

If you are looking for PAL power, a 634 spring should fit. They are rated at 720 fps
