Materials? Sizes? Do they include the duct seal? Prices? Are you willing to ship either the assembled trap or the pieces for the kit? Is there a metal backing for between the seal and the back of the trap?

I think I got most of the possible questions

the traps are a variant of the clip board style. they are made of 3/4 G1S plywood. i will post pics soon. i dont have time for another week due to work, but i have a couple hundred pounds of duct seal on order. as far as duct seal goes , i am planning on supplying it. the target i shoot is a prototype of the model that i plan to produce, and it has 12 lbs of duct seal and a metal plate behind the duct seal. i have shot approx 2500 jsb exact heavy .22 cal pellets into it and none have made it to the metal. i shoot an AA S410 @ 900 fps. as far as the larger caliber pellets i cannot say. i reckon similar models of rifle in .25 cal are fine. these targets will be painted to the requested color within reason with stain or exterior paint. i can say that they will be presentable enough to store in your gunroom indoors, especially for all you basement air gunners. one thing that i have noted is that with tight shooting rifles like S410 it is a good idea after about 100 rounds to push in the hole that your pellets have made in the duct seal. then it is good to go again. i have not considered the "kit" aspect or other options at this point. i am located in saskatchewan and i know what its like trying to get all the great stuff that our fellow air gun friends in the states get. i need support from you guys to help us canadians make our own way in this sport. i am open to suggestions.

Photobucket is free and pretty simple! If I can figure it out it is easy!

i hope this works. here is a pic. this trap was made from laminated pine. i will not be using this material unless you request it. the boards are just not perfectly straight like plywood is. i had originally thought that this would be my material however upon close inspection i could see that the boards were never straight enough .

A couple more pics to give a rough idea. this is my rough, unpainted one. the targets requested will be finished to your specifications. i also would like to mention that depending on the intended air gun you can order more or less duct seal. the 12 lbs that i am using in this target has been adequate for jsb pellets @ 900 fps. out of my AA S410. my diana 34 hardly burries the pellets into the duct seal @ 680 fps. this is a quality item that any air gunner would appreciate owning. all the years of different steel traps and messy carpet traps and so on have made me a believer. whether you are a serious target shooter or a back yard plinker, the silent pellet trap takes serious abuse and keeps the wife and neighbours happy as far as noise and the mess goes.

What are you looking to charge for one? Still thinking about offering a 'kit' option?

I did not really consider a kit option. I think , at first anyway, i will be just building the target and sending it ready to deploy in your back yard. i will however consider making the duct seal optional. I think for the trouble though its worth it to get a target that is assembled and ready for use. The targets are going to run about 100 plus shipping. the duct seal, steel plate , GOOD lumber, Good paint, and time all add up. The amount of duct seal can be requested depending on the intended ft. lbs.
