I guess this is why you can't simply modify a CO2 airgun to PCP.
I've read other posts about pot metal being sold as quality air pressure fittings.

.

This is why I cringe every time I see a Lego gun like a 2240 turned into a PCP with just screw on parts.

Wow, I can't believe someone would plug the burst disk. People like that shouldn't be allowed to work on and sell airguns anymore.

What a dangerous situation! It's obvious that many among us don't truly understand the seriousness of playing with high pressure vessel and equipment. Maybe we need a sticky for members to read on how to check HPA guns properly and safely.

Best suggestion I've read on here in a while. It's easy for someone who has the time behind them to criticize but it takes a stand up kinda man to simply educate and not berate. Simplify not testify. Teach not preach. If commercially available customization parts aren't safe then it would seem pertinent that anyone who knows that to contact a moderator with their 100% proof and let us all know so we don't waste our money or worse yet, injure someone.

Withholding is just a form of lying - worse even its conspiracy to commit, when a PM could of saved someone a great deal of pain or worse.

Disabling a safety device is plain stupid...would be like selling someone a car with no brakes.

Also wondering if Len verified the regulator output. I'm surprised that the frame is still in one piece at all if it saw 3000psi. Have no reason to doubt Len...he has never given anyone a bum steer as far as I know.

Perhaps I have to join over there...or Len is watching here?

We definitely need to educate! If injuries start to happen at significant numbers, the government will get involved and make serious changes to this great recreational activity. Those who know better have a duty to teach those who know little to nothing, to protect ourselves from regulation. Agree or disagree to this, but if the powers above step in its going to get messy.

If we put stickys up under "HPA Handling and Safety" and new and old members decide not to take a minute to read them, at least as member of this great forum we have done our duediligunse. We can only help those who are interested in knowledge, for those who aren't we can hope for the best.
