Well my audrius regulator for my at44 should be arriving this week, can't hardly wait!

I've been surfing the net looking for installation info, and I've come to the conclusion that I have to drille a 1.5mm hole in the cylinder. Please correct me if in wrong! So if a hole is required, can someone tell me the measurement(s). I'm sure I'll get instructions, but I would like to have the cylinder ready for assembly. Thanks

When I do drill this hole, does it line up with a bleed off hole in the regulator or something or is this hole just in the location of a void that's been created by the regulator and or the spacer?

So looking forward to getting this gun running, I've owned it a few weeks now and haven't shot it yet. I didn't want to spend too much time trying figure out a non regulated gun and the " bell curve" stuff, my kids keep me crazy busy.

I'm also hoping to drill and modd the stock to allow for hammer adjustment without removing the stock every time. One hole in the fore end of the stock and some stock work just below the safety. Has anyone done is to their hatsan(s)?

Hole goes between orings on reg hidden by the stock
Hold valve, spacer and reg all lined up beside tube. Hole then goes say half way between the orings.
IIRC rsterne did the stock mod.

Thanks for the guidance, my plan was too stack everything together and use the back end of my dial caliper to get the over all measurement. Nice to know the hole is to be located between the two orings, I great appreciate the assistance.

Thanks for the link, I knew I had seen a thread somewhere on how to mod the stock. I'm just curious on how to make the channel for the hammer adjustment look professional, like the picture in the thread. Should I use a rat tail file and finish it with some rolled up sand paper? I have the wooden stock model, and I'm all about a quality finish. Maybe I should wait until I have an opportunity to get on a vertical mill! Hhhumm

I always wanted a hatsan but couldn't afford one brand new, so never deeply investigated them. It never occurred to me that they were regulated, until I got a used one. To have a gun at shoots different veloicities just won't appeal to me, so I'm regulating this rifle before I spend anytime with it. I'm going to start off with the regulator using it just a bit above its minimum, then start working the hammer. Thanks everyone

I'm trying to get my Altaro's regulator going. It works, but I failed to find the hammer spring adjuster. Need to find some pictures.

Well my audrius regulator arrived today! The craftsmanship is perfect, very well done piece.

I'm hoping to get the install completed in about a week from now, when I've got some free time. These regulator was ordered in a 90-100bar setup for my at44, I hoping for good things from this beautiful device.

The only thing I wasn't to pleased with was the packaging. It came in a bubble wrapped lined envelop! I sure hope the spacer cylinder isn't out of round to any extreme.

Well started the first phase of assembly, measure and layout. So I stack everything and used the tail of my dial caliper and got a eye ball measurement. I also measured each piece individually and added them together and got a number that was within 0.005", so I rounded my number to 2.415". So I now have to drill a hole into the air cylinder, once I have the proper sized bit of coarse.

So I had a few minutes tonight so I drilled the hole in the wall of the air cylinder. Thanks to some reassurance from some fellow members, I drilled the hole 0.060" since this hole is not super critical. I demurred the exterior hole using another drill bit a few sizes larger, and turned it by hand until I turned smooth. I notice the interior hole had a really bad burr, which would destroy an oring. I took a small flashlight down the tube and used a Dremel tool bit that was a fine cylindrical stone. I put the stoning bit in the tube and with my finger I rubbed and rubbed (30mins) using my indes finger. The light in the tube would be blocked once my stone was in the right spot. It's now super smooth inside!

Once I have the tube cleaned, degreased and dry, I'll see if the interior of the tube needs any type of coating (ex. Bluing etc) and get the tube finalized and ready for assembly.

Anyone here object to me using "Dow Corning 111 silicone oring grease" for the assembly of the air cylinder? I use this stuff on the job for assembly of orings in industrial machinery.

I used a little pelgun oil for crosman on mine and it seems to be ok

I installed a Audrius Reg into my S410 FAC it worked beautifully ... I've brought it back to stock form because the Reg has now fail to produce consistent FPS.

When it worked this is what I got:
Start fill was 2900psi and finished at about 1700psi. Regulator set at about 140 – 145 BAR. AA field 16 gr. Pellets.

I believe what is causing the failure to produce consistent FPS is due to the brass point creating a crater into that white head. When it was brand new that white head surface was smooth.

Going to e-mail Audrius to see if I can get a replacement part.

Interesting.... The seat area isn't quite enough for the hardness of the Delrin? seal.... The pressure on the plastic is too great and it's extruding from the load.... I'm guessing either a redesign of the cone for more contact area.... or a harder material such as PEEK is needed.... Nothing to do with regulators, but I'm seeing the same thing on a Delrin poppet in my .35 cal Hayabusa at 3000 psi.... to the point the hammer strike isn't enough at that pressure.... That's why I know about PEEK, which is an expensive plastic but may be the solution (to both problems).... I hope to find out soon....
