Hi, I have a 2240 that I want to put a steel breech on, but I have been wondering if I should go with a left hand breech to make it easier to load and not have that switch to left, load with right, switch to right shoot, thing going on. In plain terms so I can keep the gun in my right shooting hand while loading with the left. What do you think, does anyone load their right handed breech with their left hand.

No problem here.

Cross over and open the bolt with the left, hold the gun and the bolt back with the right, and load with the left. Reach back 3 inches with the left and close the bolt, lock with the right, and commence firing.

I have a repeater breach that is on the left and like it but having it on the right is not a problem for the single shot ones. It is kind of neat to have something a bit different if you want a cool factor.

I think your far better off with a left handed bolt. You don't have to release your right hand grip which is VERY IMPORTANT for consistent shot placement. Ask any serious target shooter!
