Need a little help with a Mark 1, I'm usually pretty good at figuring things out but Ive come to a little road block :( I would like to know if someone could tell me how to remove the star shaped plug retainer thingy part # 10-090 in the CO2 button style cap. I would like to get access to replace the tiny o-ring. I know there must be a way and i don't want to damage it so Ive decided to ask.
thanks

P.S. Ive tried clip spring pliers and cant get it to budge. :x

If it's the doohickey I think it is, the only way to get it out without destroying it, is to use an eyeglass screwdriver to pry each leg a little at a time. If you get it to tip one side up, it can then be removed with needle nose pliers. They are usually replaced when the O-ring is, as they are a pain to remove without damage and most say "it's outta here". If it will not stay in after reinstalling, just flatten it a bit.

Buy a set of these Dental Picks...

Then gently hook one side, lift a little , next side lift, repeat and it will be out in one, reusable piece.
Sometime it is better of you have the right tools.
