Looking for wisdom on how to install a Daystate shroud to my MK4 IS that originally did not have a shroud. The problem is that the the gun shipped as a Canadian version which has a sleeve surrounding the barrel that has to be removed in order to install the shroud...
Apparently someone in the Hamilton area ordered one sometime before I did and wondering how your barrel sleeve was removed.

If your trying to silence the Daystate, you won't get any help. Silencers are completely illegal in Canada.

If you going with an empty shroud, pictures would help us, help you! :D

Wondering why the "S" word has been brought up in this thread, since there was no indication at all of intent to do this.

Not sure if you checked into this, but are you sure the sleeve is not present on the shrouded version. The shroud could just slide over the sleeve. If not, the sleeve is usually put on with some kind of epoxy and would probably have to be heated carefully in order to remove it.

Definitely not adding baffles, only the shroud. It lengthens the gun for what I think are better proportions, and adds some thickness to the barrel.
That was my fear that the sleeve would be epoxied, will have to contact Simon at Daystate since they indicated the shroud can be added to the un-shrouded 'Canadian' model.

First attempt at adding photos, hopefully they appear... :)

I'm with you; the shroud definitely makes the gun look better.

Photos look good and I hope you get some good advice from Daystate.
