Get some duct seal and an 8"x10" or larger steel bake pan.
You will never wear it out and it will be non messy and quiet. :D

I already built a plumbers seal target backstop. Works well.

Some of those electronics catalogues are huge - quite some stopping power :) But few things last forever, not even duct seal. Although I figure some 1/4" steel would do the trick for my gear, but then that's noisy. Can't have it all?

i keep glue new target printed on regular office paper to the box, so more shot get target thicker. I move the center of target around different area, or use 1/4/5 bull eyes so I dont get big hole in the center
