Hey folks,

New to this site. Hi from PEI. Bought one of these at CDN tire 3 weeks ago. Was working fine, took it outside in the cold (not sure if that affects anything), now it won't fire.

It feels like the air chamber is full. Bolt pulls back and loads and clicks but no power.

I have not called Crosman yet.

Anyone ever experience this ?

Hi Rob, welcome to the forum.

Does the click sound like a healthy hammer hit? I can only think of two likely problems, one would be a broken hammer spring (never seen it happen, but I guess it's possible), in which case the click would sound pretty wimpy. The other possibility is overpumping leading to valve lock - the hammer can't overcome the pressure in the valve to let the air out. That would be unusual with any unmodified Crosman pumper as you'd have to work so hard to get to that point. If it's valve lock it will probably sort itself out if you leave it alone for a few days as the air will gradually leak out. Make sure there's nothing in the barrel so you don't occidentally forget when the gun suddenly becomes fireable a week or so down the line...

My grandson's M-4 acted the same way. Turned out it had 10 or so pellets stacked in the bore.
Those slidey mags can be a distraction from the shooting sequence for the younger, blissfully un-aware set

My problem with the slidey mags is that I keep forgetting to cock the action after pumping.

This would be a good excuse to take the gun apart, and void your warranty. They are not that hard to work on.
Only dis-assembly problems I've run across is the b.b. spring, and the safety spring and detent ball. Covering the receiver halves with a towel during disassembly or similar will prevent lost parts.

If it is valve lock, you may be able to access the valve stem without having to take the pump arm off. Rapping the end of the stem with a brass drift and hammer may get the valve vented enough for the gun to work again..
