Would any of the FT shooters that shoot at Port Colborne and Burlington be interested in another place to hold matches. It would be like matches at Burlington on the rifle range at HAHA [outdoor range covered though]. I would need some positive input before taking any action. Thanks

This is the club you are referring to, Chris?

http://hahaclub.ca/

I looks good, very similar to the Elmira rifle range. Information about shooting positions would be needed, in that some clubs only allow shooting from the bench and will not allow you to sit between the solid benches and shoot. Only shooting off a bench would not be something I would do often, but many may enjoy it.

Would there be any chance of shooting on the 3d archery rage?

Certainly close for the Mississauga, Hamilton, Burlington area. Only about an hour from Port as well.

Tim I asked about the 3-D range and they were not sure, but we could see what there is and maybe get a couple of the head members there to come to Port Colborne to see what it's like. Also we would have sole use of the range on the day of the match so seating in front of the benches would be allowed.

I'd come up from the states to participate. Looks to be about 2 1/2 hours from Rochester + border crossing.

I think this would be great to achieve! Another venue that's a bit closer to the GTA will hopefully attract some new shooters.

I think shooting on the rifle range is a fine start. In order to have lanes outside of this, you'll need approval from the CFO, to ensure there is enough space side to side (wind drift) and fallout distances. But the CFO was very much willing to help and work with the Port FT club - the key is to have support from the HAHA governing body.

If there's anything I can do to help, don't hesitate to PM me. Don't worry about targets, there should be enough of us to cover a full course.
