An extreme spread of 4 fps around an average at 506 is functionally equivalent to the same every time. Sounds fantastic to me.

I put a Diana spring in my Ruger Airhawk 495.
Would the Ruger spring work in the Diana?

The ruger airhawke full power is the same as the Diana 34 full power as far as the design look. I swapped barrels one was .177 the airhawke, and the diana is .22. they didn't line up exactly. I can only assume the springs are of the same size.
Best way to tell is to try it and see.

I shot about 50 rounds today at 10 yds and the avg group was 1/4" center to center. one group using a red laser with the scope was unmeasurable. looked the size of a 22 cal pb hole. I don't know why but using the laser made it easier to stay steady on target. I also tried just the laser with my head 6 inches over the gun and was within 1/4" of the bull, 5 shots, one was dead center.Rested of course.

You might want to get a Maccari spring for your 34....I've had a lot of springs from him over the yrs....never a problem or broken spring of his...I also cut coils off to get the results I want...smoothness and easy of cocking...Diana's are great but made better by one of Jim's springs.....He ships to Canada KEN.

I was talking about using the <500fps Ruger spring in the Diana to tame it down for indoor use.

I do have both, would love to try. Unfortunately I don't have the time at the moment, or in the near future. I'm also not even sure where my chrony is at the monent.

I don't see why it wouldn't work though. Maybe I could at least take some measurements tonight when I get home or tomorrow night.

The part that matters is the spring guide. If it doesn't fit inside the spring, then its no good.
