Well I don't know how big a dime is!
I've been watching for a while but never got round to trying something similar. We moved house last October and I've got the advantage of a small stone barn that is now my man cave, tools, gun stuff, BBQs, beer and music. I can also sit in the warm and dry and shoot paper at 20 yards through the open door. Luxury!
Well here's my first attempt, using my beautiful prosport, never found a springer to touch this beauty at any range.
The coin is a UK 5p piece, 18mm diameter, the ring to the left is drawn around the same coin. Small adjustments were made to the scope which should equate to a far zero of 36 ish yards.
Regards
Tim

A 5p coin will do nicely to stand in for a dime. Good shooting.

Thanks Jim, I wasn't happy with the way the pics portrayed the groups so I've put a .177 AA Field between the coin and target, gives a better perspective. At this range I see average groups because I'm using a scope on 6X or 10X but actually they're mostly within 12mm edge to edge, centre to centre takes it to around 8.5mm. I'm happy with that!

And so you should be. 20 yards with a springer, punching out 1 holers that are just a couple of pellet diameters - exceptional!

Thank you,
That's why I favour the Prosport as a pest hunting rifle, she'll group within an inch at 45 yards so for hide or static shooting there isn't much to beat it, some PCPs can do better but they run out of air! The PS will do groups like that all day long. If we ever have an apocalypse situation I'll take the PS over any other air rifle.
Now when it comes to a freestanding, walk around rifle? Forget the Prosport, the S200 s king!

Awesome shooting Timmy! Congrats and I certainly agree the Prosport is another fine springer. You can't go wrong with Air Arms! They produce some of the finest airguns out there.
