Just wondering if anyone has used these two in conjunction with each other...the Crosman LPA Mim notched rear sight(part#2300-010) and the Crosman fiber optic front sight (Part#760-201),mainly for the 2240,I was concerned that the front fiber optic bead would be too wide to mate with the notch on the LPA rear sight.
Anyone use these two together?
Yeah...I know the LPA is almost as much as the 2240! Thanks,Huck

I use the stock 2240 rear sight with the fiber optic and that has probably a skinner notch then the LPA Mim and it works great.I would think you should be fine!

The base(0.725") seems to be a little wide for the notch in the breach block(0.535"),but it should work...nice quality piece, all steel, fit is nice, elevation screw is a little hard to turn....no bigee!
Almost what I paid for the gun!Huck

Looks Nice Huck!
I'd like to have the Williams/Crosman Aperture sight with the target knobs.
I have a very nice Anschtuz sight but it is on the 2260 target rifle I built.

Yeah....I like the "ordinary" open sights,I will see how this new sight works with a front fiber optic which is on it's way. Huck

Funny stuff. I just bought both of them over the last few days for my new Rat gun build I am working on in .22 cal. I love seeing what my baby will look like. Thanks for the picks. I just smoked 2 rats with the semi built 2240 that will eventually be wearing the sights. I can't wait to have them. The best time for dusting rats at my place is dusk and dawn. Both times I need a cleaner sight picture.

Oh, and ya also funny on the price of the sights being worth about as much as the gun itself. I'm just half way through my build and when all the parts arrive my gun will be in the $350 mark. Fully upgraded I have calculated about $500 in the end. Gotta have a hobby. Thanks for the photos Huck.

No problem! Not looking at getting into the internals or upping the power with valves or longer barrel,so for now I may just stop at a pair of walnut grips....then that's it! ....maybe!

I couldn't wait for the screw kit to come,so I went ahead and installed the steel breech kit and new fibre optic front sight, plus the LPA rear sight:Image

Feels more like my Ruger MKII .22 with 6" bull barrel.
Total weight with a new can is 2.0lb 4.3oz.
Nice sight picture.
Front plastic sight looks like from a toy gun.....but It will have to do for now! All I have to do now is test it out with some gas! Huck

Ya. I agree. The sight picture looks like my Hatsan and other Ruger Mk I and Mk II replicas I have. I own one in BB and 2 in 6 mm airsoft and the sights are spot on. It's going to feel very familiar when I get mine on. Both sights have been shipped and should arrive Monday. I can't wait. Oh...how do I get that original front sight off? Suggestions? I don't want to mess something up. It seems really on there.

What I would do Huck is cover the fibre optic tip with tape and then spray paint the rest the ultra flat black camo paint from Krylon. You will get take away that ugly plastic look in seconds. That's what I intend to do. I already have the paint. Glossy plastic needs to go. I send it packing on all my guns. I've always customized ugly plastic where necessary with some sort of paint.

Did it not come with screws? I might need to be doing an order then too.

If you ^ are referring to the screws on the sight,it comes with two tiny set screws that screw down onto the breach dove-tail slot.Huck

I was actually referring the the whole front sight being "toy like",but maybe I need to paint it a flat colour like you suggest. Huck
