My son cleaned out his room and I got this sweet "Animal" head from him.I've been saving it for months waiting to get a spring for it.The other day I was in a dollar store and they had a clock on a spring with a base and I knew it would be perfect.
I let my son dispose of the clock with the 2240 tossed the base and kept the spring. His head is held on with dowel and marine epoxy so hopefully he will stand up to the 22 cals. This will definitely be an outdoor target as the pellets just ricochet off of it.
Here is a short video of him being hit with a 177.

It gets better Dave. Now there is a 22 stuck inside of it and it rattles when you hit it.I had to stop shooting for a bit because I was laughing at it.

....Is that spring about the size of a 'door stopper' spring ? ....I thought maybe if you strrrrrrretched one out a bit that it might work too............A real entertaining target you have there.....

The spring is a little longer and wider than a door stop spring.I thought about using one too before I found this one.

Looks like fun! Set "Animal" further back in the box and you might be able to keep it indoor friendly?

Jeez Dave I'm already picking up to many BB's.
I would like to get it outside with the Steel Storm sometime but it may not last past this weekend.

I showed your video to my wife. We're both still laughing our butts off. Notice that it nods yes first, then shakes its head no.

There may be a future in custom bobble-headed targets. How about your favourite politician?
