hey guys ; so this last weekend I was tinkering around and made a dueling tree target. it's only 17 inches high which fits inside my wooden frame which fits in my shooting book case gallery. used the materials below. couldn't find the camera for pics. and as usual I haven't tested it yet. it works great with my finger. but my finger doesn't travel at 495 fps. except I think it does when I;m driving and get cut off by some dummy. pics this weekend maybe. I cut the target parts out of what I always use; junction box plate covers. in the 17" I had room for 5 targets.

I needed something to hold pop cans so I took a cheap foam coolie and cut it in three pieces.I glued them to a piece of plywood and they work like a charm.Time to do some deer hunting.

heres the shapes I cut from the plate covers. tried it out yesterday with my daisy 953 and it works great. I;ve got enough of that steel left to make another one. it was 13 bucks at can. tire.

That looks great! How on earth do you cut the circles? That would drive me nuts.

this is the finished project. with many thanks to wllm995 for doing the pictures for me. it actually works good. but not so good with the gun I tried yesterday. the only airgun that I bought and don't like very much. my browning miss the mark buckmark ;unless you shoot from 10 feet away then it flips them over good. I make the wooden frames wide enough so two of them can fit side by side. I have it clamped up on top because it was easier to take pictures of it. and i have to tilt it ahead a bit so they flip over and stay over. but I like it.

I use a grinder. these duelling tree ones were a bit harder because of the circle and then the L part that goes into the tube. but ya it did drive me a bit crazy. I;ve got five fingers on my left hand and only two on my right; after trying to turn these and manouver them around with the grinder I almost had a matching set. and not of my left hand.

Here is my bucket trap.
Easy 10,000 pellets or more before you need to empty or replace it.

nice tazz and simple to make. but I'd empty it before you got 10,000 lead pellets in it. you wouldn't be able to lift it.
