Wayyyy cooool...
I've not visited this forum for some time (work/life/flu/money - boring stuff) and was delighted to see you're actually making progress. Having no machining tools (or skills), I only got as far as wandering around Home Depot looking for a way to cobble together brass fittings & carriage bolt as inner piston. Lots of wandering, nothing doing...
Are you a machinist? I take it you're doing the work yourself?

PS-you've probably read it, but rsterne's post on testing FTP's may be of use testing yours
PPS-where do you guys find the brass/aluminum stock for these projects?

. I'm not a machinist but have some machining skills, and yes I do it myself

. I went back to school to take a course to become a CNC Machines operator, and of course we had to learn the basics of machining. That's where I made those parts. I also just bought a mini lathe, with which I will finish the work (thanks Kinetic_genius

), as soon as it's repaired. I hope to finish in no more than two weeks. With a full time job and full time school, it's not easy to find time to work on my projects :hsmash

(but ignore the bits about playing with bb guns...)
Tell me, what kind of mini-lathe did you buy & how much?

yes to bad he's in Montreal and it was pick up only you wouldn't have been so lucky.... :wink:
