I managed to get two of the last five .22 hp,s they had. I told the sales guy what the rumours were, that they were getting out of the shooting business. He said they are changing sources for hunting and shooting equipment, not getting out of the hunting and shooting business.

Took a chance. Went to my Walmart despite online saying out of stock.... What did I noticed on the very bottom shelve that you needed to lay down and see....2 crammed in the back corner :D

Picked up a 500 pack of pellets as well and for under 100$ cannot go wrong.

Pew Pew...

I made the wife once I paid walk around with her carrying it. Got less looks than I would.

Good stuff, for a while there thought I was going to have to ship you one of mine. You'll find out soon enough what the fuss' all about. Which pretty much comes down to its simplicity. A no frills, low cost .22 cal that just happens to shoot well. Now go make short work of those pigeons. Wish I had your problem.

Now to find a better stock for it. Not a huge fan of the current one.

I looked at the Phantoms in the local WalMart - over $75.00 - almost $76.00. I think CDN Tire has them on for $129.99 or so. They were non - P.A.L.

Original price at walmart was 114.97. They were on for sale for actual 75.00.

They advertise that they can be upgraded later for more power.

I picked up a couple of tins of CPHP 22's last night at the local Wal Mart. I went back tonight for some 177's but they were sold out. Laser sights down to $20. And a couple of Umarex pistols down to $50, so no real deal there.
My wife is wondering what I'm stocking up for. And worse yet, it's still not warm enough to shoot outside.

I;m the original poster of this thread and kind of an idiot. I live in st. Catharines ; we have 3 Walmart stores here. I first saw the sale ; bought some co2s and .22 pellets. woo hoo saved a few bucks. so I figured I would go check out the Walmart in Niagara falls and see if they might have any .177 pellets. now for the idiot part of this story. the casino I always go and donate to is in Niagara falls also. need I say more. end of story.

I checked out the Walmart in Abbotsford and Langley, both are out of the Phantom .22 I scooped up the last laser sight for $20 in Abbotsford, there was one tin of .22 Crosman hollow point left in the Abby store.

Kingston WM had 2 or 3 .22 Phantoms left, as of Friday. $75 per. I seriously considered one, but I'm just too snooty and love my PCP.

2 walmart stores in Thunder Bay show "low stock". The store I visited had two on the shelf. Now they have one. You guys are a bad influence.
I have a spare full power oem crosman spring that will be going in with a full lube/tune, trigger, bedding, seals, (all the fun stuff).
Most folks will agree that the Phantom stock won't be winning any beauty contests, but it is a well-designed stock for offhand springer shooting.
