I had bought a TX200 but for a lefty is was not user friendly so I traded it for a HW97KT

Here is a few photos of my HW97KT I have a Falcon T-50 installed on it that I need to adjust.

That looks a very nice FT rifle, Frank - good choice! I had to put a short scope on mine - fat finger syndrome.

That looks like it also has a right handed stock on it !!!!! If so, you may want to try a strap on check piece to make it more comfortable for a lefty (there's nothing wrong with being left handed, it's just a bit creepy !!!)

I had no trouble with standard clamp mounts on my 97 moving. I did put a fairly light 3mm scope on it with a 1-piece mount and rings that works well, but originally, it had only 2 rings on a 5-15C M3200 scope. No movement.

I responded to all PM's received about the scope, including yours !

Back on topic: Looking forward to seeing how Franks rifle shoots this year. I'm also transitioning to a springer !

Adding a riser to the rings will gain a bit more room to load. I also find with the scope mounted a bit higher that it's easier to position the head without any neck strain !

well thanks for that info. neck pain I know a lot about that.

yes the rings are only temporary till i get better ones. I spent all my savings on this setup got to make more saving to buy very good quality mounts.

I've never ben able to figure out why they put such small dovetails on expensive air rifles !!! I ended up buying an AGP mount from England for my TX200 to ensure it had really good clamping power. Then I added Sportsmatch adjustable rings and it seems rock solid now. Just the rings alone gave hardly no contact patch with the dovetail and I had no confidence in that.

Sportsmatch or BKL rings & risers seem to be excellent quality at a decent price.
