Amazon.ca has free shipping if you spend $35, they have a mediocre selection of fairly priced pellets and a good selection of stupidly high cost pellets.... one day I might get the 1250 pack of the Crosman Premier pointed hunting for $29... amazon has cheapo daisy wadcutter for $5.99 which shoot well provided you keep an eye out for all the mis-shaped ones... so that is some cheap shooting.

First - I wrote an error - amazon.ca has the Premier 0.177 Caliber Domed Field Target Airgun Pellets (1250 per Box <7.9 grain>), not pointed.
...there is a 1250 pack of 10.5 grain also, but way too heavy for the 953

And I have been on amazon for a while and find their best selection is of Crosman - here is the search I did

https://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=sr_nr_p_6_0 ... 2035754011

free shipping eligible in the above search

we really are fortunate the 953 is so freakishly accurate, we can almost put any pellet through it  8)

Kudos for posting that fine effort 8)

So I did some chrony testing and found my first 3 shots were severely under-powered :!: :?:   :?

shooting cheapo crosman 7.4 grain wads at 147 fps and my stoeger 8.5 grain pointed at 140 fps  :?

Doh! then I switched my chronometer from metres back to fps...

I'm sure this has never ever happened to anyone before in the history of ballistic chrono testing

oh and maybe good news, shot two Crosman Premier HP through (474fps) and they did not jam as they do in my other 953, but too early to assume all is well since it was only 2 pellets... preliminary cautious optimism

Got this one from Ace quite recently who modded the heck out of it, including a piston fill mod, trigger, extended shoulder stock and texture stippling

My other 953 shoots at 437fps using 7 grain rws hobbies

Wow I bet it is sweet to shoot. I am getting familiar with my trigger and is getting better and better. I probably only have 300 pellets through it. The stock extension would be nice. Can you post a picture of it so I can see please.

Yes I am grateful for it, I am still in the honeymoon phase  8)

below is a post Ace did on another thread recently, the extended stock looks better now (and I replaced the screws with longer ones yesterday just for more stability confidence) but this image shows the idea. I will eventually rework it and add another 3/4" but is solid and a lovely experience to shoot. Can't wait to get her out and see what she can do past 10m  Come on spring!

Yes he does, try a search with his name and 953

Hey forgot to ask - how are these Benji Hollow Point pellets with the 953?

Seems like a reasonable deal at Amazon - $17 for 750 pellets... if they are good
Please tell of your shooting experience with them - ever get jammed when pushed by the probe into the chamber?

I have then saved for later in my amazon cart

They work very well. Never had one jam on me. I always use the 5 round magazine and they fit quite well in there to not loose or falling out. I think that groop was about the same as today with the rws. I also tryed daisy hollow point precision max. The daisey where some times loose in the magazine bit didn't jam not quit ad nice of a groop eather . All in all pretty good from all of them. This gun doesn't seem to fussy about what pellet I put in. Just very minimal changes and that could just be my shooting lol
