Fitted the Texan with a Nitro Recoil Pad.
Said to reduce recoil up to 70% in Safari firearms lol.
I'm hoping more for the Texan.
It also says it's designed with Anti-Muzzle jump technology.
Sounds cool on paper, will see this weekend.
To me, it's a soft but durable rubber, 1-7-/8 thick,
and a concave butt design to better hold the rifle square on your shoulder.
It gives my brain the same feeling as when you plop down onto a nice lazy boy.
This should do just fine until I get my rubber butt from BLACKWORKS.
Not that firing the Texan is like taming a wild bull, but it does have a lot of kick for an Air Rifle.
when combined with a 34", I have taken steps that I think help the shooting characteristics.
I just to sort out the front end now, Which i think will be the most fun part.
Poured 8kg of short grained rice on the floor last night and alittle made it into my Caldwell tackdriver shooting bag. Eventually they all made it it. Boy 8kg of rice and I still think it needs
1 or 2 more. Your right Kim I'm glad I didn't fill this with sand!!
I recommend this bag to support the Texan. It's designed to use its own weight to wrap around and squeeze the barrel down like a Venus fly trap. This is the same kind of bag used when I originally found my 50 yard zero . Fantastic bag rest.
Hoping to get on a table soon to test out the recoil pad, monopod, and rice bag.
alittle forward weight and barrel support from a shroud and a nice effective Brake are gonna be the icing on the cake for stabilizing the shooting attitude of the Texan, although I hear polishing the valve really helps in smoothening out the shooting cycle..eh Kim;)?
Oh Ignore the muzzle protector that's just a mono pod foot cover, I was using it for
Demonstration purposes only. Ahah.
