I have 2 of these. An Open and Normal.

I believe if you field strip it and look closely you will see they DO have the BAX system. I dont really care one way or the other..but the last time i took one apart i saw it.

Remove slide assy, flip it over and have a look underneath, about where the ejection port is. You should see a little wheel which is the BAX adjustment system.

Does it work? Dunno, mine shoot fine the way they are so I didn't touch it...but its there.

mine certainly doesn't have this wheel you're talking about. On mine, the magazine has a compression fitting. The compression fitting compresses to this plastic cylinder that has a plastic rod that is on a spring held back to the rear sight. The pin moved forward as the gas is compressed there, the entire slide is snapped back after firing the first pellet, after which the slider arm below the firing pin area pushes the next BB into the breach at the end of the barrel held by a small rivet bump of metal. The gas is released once the trigger spring pushes up that cylindar again and the whole process works over again :)

Curiouser and curiouser....Today was brutal, but when I get home tomorrow after going to the damn LOOMIS depot (long sad story) I'll pull it apart and post a picture. There will be no doubt that (at least on MINE) it is there.

I think my SIG Sauer is also missing the BAX hardware.

I just bought a Tanfoglio Limited Custom that also claims to have a BAX adjustment. I'll have a look at it tonight.

Apologize for not following through last evening. I have to break down the open one (Tasco red dot). regular X-5 at my other sons house I think. When I get back from shooting today I'll start with Mr. Canadian and the gun ;)

It will move if you push it with a flat blade.

I left it alone since mine shoot just fine where it is.

Your gun does not have a BAX wheel in it...the adjustable system only comes in Airsoft guns. Your pictures show where the BAX wheel would be.

There would be a serrated wheel mounted on the shaft with the serrations engaging the nub to provide click adjustments.

Looks to me like you are 100% correct. I mistook those scallops for a wheel.

and I may be incorrect on the wheel's serrations and nub function (indicated by red arrow)...it more than likely does not provide "clicks" but rather is a reference point and/or pry point to turn the wheel if there was a wheel installed.

both the Airsoft and BB versions of the Sig Sauer P226 X-Five Open have "hop-up" but it is non-adjustable in the BB version.

The Airsoft version would have wheel and linkage to make fine adjustments.

Pictured below are the components of the BB version.
Notice there is no wheel or linkage to make adjustments.
But it does have the "bucking" component to provide backspin.
