After a carefull disassembly of my zoraki and discovering burn out cup seals in the piston assembly I went on the hunt for parts. As luck would have it there are no parts available ( kinda already knew that) . Next step was to measure all cup seals and o rings . Now I have a complete list of o rings and seals , and found a place online that sells specialty seals for pneumatic and hydraulic uses. I'll be getting a complete "set" ordered hopefully in the next day or so. If this works out and am able to source all the seals , I'll probably get a bunch and sell them if anyone is interested.
Sure wish this was a crossman product so I wouldn't have to go through all this trouble but I love this pistol and just want to get it shooting again . I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue /leaking . I'll post what I find for anyone interested.

Good idea to get some extras. I was going to make mine in a .22, but think i will leav it as is.
Got a new fiberglass grips I have to finally finish up and get on , I promised a set to another person so will have to get them fit on. Built 4 sets when I was at it.

Good work! Keep us posted on your results and post some pics if you can. I own two Alectos and one of them leaks a bit on the compression stroke.

I'm presently converting all the measurements from SAE to metric . I only have an SAE vernier caliper. Once converted I have to find all the part numbers in an online catalog , may take a few hours/days . I'm hoping that a complete kit will come under 20$
As for a leak on the compression stroke . Take a look at the o ring at the breach plug that seals the popet, I have flipped mine and it seemed to help until I get the proper o ring.

Good job! I know people will be interested if the parts fit... I'd think they would've used O-rings instead, cheap and easy to replace, but since you have it apart do you think they could be modded to accept O-rings?
Some pix of the innards would be cool too, and if possible after removing the seals, the seals and spots where they were attached so I/we can get our minds working on fixes/mods etc. For example I've wanted to buy this gun but after hearing about all the leakers and lack of parts I'm not interested in until I know I can fix it.
And I'd be cool with the SAE dimensions if you want to include them. I'm in the US so I'd just end up converting them back uc. Metric is some newfangled thing that I hear some backwards countries use, I like my measurements in Rods and Hogsheads and such ;)
Thanx

I'm still working on the conversions . Some of the measurements I have just don't jive with the metric assortment in the catalog I'm using. Mind you I'm up at work ( mining camp ) and using sketches on a piece of lined paper with the dimensions I had written down after a few ( possibly too many) adult beverages. I'll be home in the next two days to confirm .
As far as converting to O-rings I don't think it would be possible without some serious machining, that I'm not comfortable doing with a drill press. I will however take pics of the internals and post them for those who are interested in seeing what the innards look like. I'll also post the measurements once they are confirmed.

Here are some pics of the dissassembly . This is to access the cup seals and o rings in the piston/cylinder group.
First remove action from the pistol by removing circlip and pushing pin out at grip end ,with the pistol open push out pin at end of piston /cylinder assembly.

Next step is to remove the bushing in the end cap, using a flat screwdriver remove screw holding end cap to the piston.

Next push the second stage piston through the cylinder.

Now , you have access to all the seals . Here is a list of the measurements I have taken with my cheap vernier callipers . There are three different contours of seals used ,symmetrical ,piston lip and rod lip types . I'm still working on the sourcing of the parts .
For the valve assembly I won't be taking any pics due to it being a custom piece from Voltar1 and I don't want to cut his grass as far as a repair. ( beyond my capabilities to make anyway) .more to come when I get the parts on the way.

They aren't available in Canada. I heard that they are still made under the Zoraki name, but can't find a good source anymore.

BTW, Hobbyman, if you're still going for the re-seal kits, I'd take one!
