Just remembered I had this cap gun in the basement for the last 20years. Don't remember when/where I got it or know what it is a replica of? Can't remembers anyway

Yup forgot to mention the barrel is blocked and did some quick google and may have been a prop gun. The brass looking stuff feels like cast and the grips are plastic.

You're absolutely correct AirForceAddict. There were 3 models of the the Dragoon manufactured from 1848 to 1860. The one pictured in the original post has a rounded trigger guard so it would be modeled after the 3rd model Dragoon built somewhere between 1851 to 1860.
Gotta say it's a nice replica.

I;ve got a couple of these made by denix but they have wood grips. they look pretty good on my western themed wall collection .[they are easier and cheaper to buy than the real thing] along with a few old west replica law badges and some replica confederate money.
