Very nice, I've had a Mark III for about 10 years. Awesome target pistol.

I have the MKII 5 1/2" bull barrel ........very accurate.......just a PIA to strip and clean......this looks like an improvement. Can the gun be fired without a mag in it? Or did they lawyer proof that? Harold
FWIW Ruger used a WW2 Japanese Nambu pistol as an inspiration while designing the original gun

The Rugers make REALLY nice plinkers. Too - I found the lightweight 4" version is incredible for aerial shooting thrown targets (chunks of coal) - in a safe place, of course - the wide open outdoors - where it is legal- so not in this country.
The Ruger design is a natural pointer.

Not sure how I feel about the forward "hook" arrangement of the barrel ? Time will tell if it wears loose.......Harold
