here is my short review of the brand new Colt Python 2.5'' polymer version.

Just received the gun this morning from Pyramydair, I was not able to find it in Canada.

I tend to like metal gun and dislike all plastic guns, but this one is an exception! and it have some metal parts (hammer, trigger, mag)

Pros:

-verry lightweight (I know sometimes it fun to have heavy guns, but in this case, I prefered it light, another feeling in hand)
-awesome ergonomy, thin grips, rubbery feel, even the grips are plastic, verry solid feeling in hand, verry verry nice to hold this revolver.
-the most awesome characteristic of this pistol is the hammer, it is absolutly fantastic, no freeplay, no sloppy like the Dan Wesson I owned in the past (owned 4) strong spring, straight, feel like the mechanism is well made, no crunchy feel like my smith wesson 586 when cocking the hammer with pellets in the mag.
-metal mag, 10 rnds (pellet)
-shoot bb's as well with the included plastic mags (will never use it for sure because of the next point)
-rifle barrel!
-verry sleek designed safety and easy to use
-nice colt logos on grips and engraved onto the frame
-metal trigger, verry nice trigger pull in single action, and OK in double action
-Single and double action
-freeking nice hammer pull!... already talk about that.... lol!
-adjustable rear sight in windage and elevation!
-shoot straight at 18 feet out of the box, no adjustment needed in X or Y, only minor windage trim.
-the Bang seams powerfull enough to flip my metal target at 18 feet
-60 good shots for one co2 (personnaly I dislike guns that shoot more than 90 rnds with one co2 because I don't like to remove a live co2 from a gun when I don't have time to shoot all the rnds)
-the left part of the grip that can be removed for co2 insertion is pretty well made, feels like it is molded in the gun, no freeplay, fit perfectly and tight.
-came in a nice carton box (no cheap clampshell), so you can store the revolver in it.
-accuracy is pretty good for such a small barrel, 1.5'' grouping for 10 shots at 18 feet
-the metal mags for the pellet got deep chambers, so I think you can use longer pellets with rounded or pointed tip. When pellets are inserted flush in the rear, you can see there is room in the front for longer pellet.
-the mechanism that make rotate the mag seams pretty good, you don't feel any resistance while cocking the hammer, like I feel with all my other revolver including the expensive smith wesson 586.
-you can rotate by hand the mag when it is in the gun, easy mechanism for removing it.
-the polymer of the entire frame and barrel seams verry solid and the mat finish is pretty nice and don't make the gun feel cheap at all.

Cons:

-no halen included in the box for rear sight adjustments
-no halen key for co2, just an halen molded into the grips that I not using to avoid breaking the grips, even if it looks solid... like the colt SAA
-still not available in canada and expensive to buy with all the custom and brokerage fees.
