I don't know if glue will work but it's an idea I like.

Another thought: How about oyster crackers? When I was in black power muzzleloaders, our club used to shoot crackers of all sorts. Poof and edible by critters or bio-degradable. Nice.

...Yep, I've shot a lot of crackers....there's even those tiny 1" square ones that you have to sneak up on while someone holds them out at arms length (to be safe), lol .....My blackpowder days started about 1973..We had a nice range close to where I live now,...even had a great "seneca run" trail....We couldn't keep the hikers and dog walkers off of it no matter how many signs were posted.....One thing led to another and the lease was lost due to owner liabilities ......It was a great range (200 yd) in a very rustic setting.....Oh, look at me, I'm gettin' all teary eyed ......Colt .44 C&B , Kentucky .45 . Brown Bess 1871 (orig.) , original 1863 .577 Tower horse pistol (Lancers pistol) ...all just gathering dust now, but then, so am I .............

sidewalk chalk from the dollar store with a hole drilled through them and hung on a tree and if it is windy it becomes a moving target

I've often thought about making salt dough targets. They would be similar to the Daisy mini skeet (Shatter blast??).
I was thinking of making the dough, add food colouring. Then roll into a log and slice the targets, then bake in the oven to harden up. Just never got around to it.
