To any millennium pumper owners visiting this forum. During the R&D on the Freedom 700 SSP I discovered that using two O-rings on the pump head, caused a pressure trap between the them, making pumping effort much harder, especially on the up stroke. By replacing the inner O-ring with a split teflon washer just as a guide, or simply splitting the inner O-ring, made pumping much easier. I really don't know if this is an issue with the millennium pumper, but it might be something to try, just to see.

The running of 2 orings IMHO is redundant.
One quality ring is far more effective. Instead of the use of an oring the use of a quad ring provides far superior sealing and in the right material and durometer for the job provides better abrasion resistance.

I have yet to see an O ring fail on a tube that's been properly cleaned, polished and lubed. And that is all on single ring flat top pistons. There is one here more than 10 years old still pushing air... I may be a bit on the zealous side when it comes to oil...
