how long does it take to fill the small 13cc bottle to 3000psi...?

See second sentence in op. As it has a regulator there is no point in running it lower than 1500 psi.

lol he said up to 3000psi....getting it to 1500 is pretty easy even with the hand pump its getting it above that
and beyond to 3000psi that make the pump work....if it will not fill to at least 2900 psi its worth nothing to people
with PCP's less air less shots....which means filling up more often...and in return working the pump more and causing it to possibly go south...seize up or burn out sooner then you'd like ... :|

Like I said in the Original Post it took 35 seconds to fill from 1500 psi to 3,000 psi. The pump has the capability to hit 4500 psi if you want to fill tanks rated to that pressure. You don't normally shoot a PCP or HPA below 1500 psi so that is usually the starting pressure on a refill.

edit...I went and drained the bottle to 0 psi...it took 1 minute 11 seconds to fill to 3000 psi.

the bottle is 13 inᶾ not 13 cc....

The responses here are probably not surprising. rws buys a compressor that is inexpensive and does the job. It's the kind of compressor that many PCP airgunners have been longing for. Yet the responses seem skeptical. A poster says "Everybody on GTA told me to stay away" and then doesn't back up the assertion with links to such advice, despite the OP's request and contrary link.

Perhaps the negative reaction is a bit of sour grapes, although I am familiar with the expression "you get what you pay for". Of course if that is a popular mantra it should be noted that many inexpensive airguns are bought by a lot of the posters on this forum.

In any case, I wish the compressor is everything the OP wants it to be. Let him report in a month to tell us how it is performing and again a few months later. Good luck, rws. I hope you have a winner.

I'm sorry, I asked people on GTA, and they been shooting airguns and know more about stuff than me. And a few people told me to stay away. This was on GTA Ajax chat. A member that builds high end stocks for airguns. That has 2 chinese compressors.

Travis at WAR said stay away. So a tuner/builder knows something we don't. Cant you buy a used shoebox for 450$?

I know a Canadian member bought a used shoe box for 250 USD.

Following with interest as I've gone deeper in to the dark side recently...

Shoebox is a booster that needs a shop compressor correct?

The compressor being discussed here (of which there are MANY for sale direct from china) is stand alone, or does it need a primary compressor as well?

Shoebox needs a shop compressor

the Yong Heng compressor is stand alone

I can understand the professional service provider buying a $3k+ compressor. Time is money and reliability is your reputation. No need to skimp at all.

For someone like me there are two things to know. Is it safe and reliability to price. My understanding is the compressor itself yields low risk. If it fails it'll leak and I'll be disappointed. If the target source fails, ie a carbon fiber bottle at 4500 psi, that's an entirely different matter. Any informed opinion that differs is welcome. So that leaves reliability to price. Filling a 68ci bottle to 4500psi used to cost me $5 a pop. 5 / 400 = 80. Will I get 80 68ci@4500psi fills from the yong heng? Probably not without at least one normal maintenance rebuild. Is a maintenance rebuild a problem? Not for me. Will the main unit last 80 fills 68ci@4500psi? Quite honestly I do not see why not if the cooling is suffice.

Overall for someone like me who will most likely never fill more than 40-50 times it seems a good value. We'll see.

I have not read or seen anything about the Yong Heng compressor being bad on any site yet.

You have some people dissing it just because it's cheap and from China...but no actual documentation of failures.

and trust me...if this compressor turns out to be junk I will document it with pictures and will post it on every air gun site I am on.

Yep I've read about 60 pages and more, and a few guys had some trouble with seals on the tuxing version I believe, and I remember one guy having trouble with his Yong heng getting pretty warm, but it has kept on working. Other than that it seems so far these are doing really well. They pump really fast compared to the shoebox too. Lots of guys in the last year have bought them on the GTA, you can find multiple posts and besides the problem of ebay scammers sending them coins in the mail instead of compressors all has good.

Sorry, same brand and size of compressor, the only difference besides voltage is the video is of the adjustable pressure model I believe, but all the rest is the same.

If interested in the YH compressor there are 4 models to choose from...mouse over each small icon next to the Voltage choices at this link

there are 4 models each in 110v and 220v and priced accordingly
Automatic...shuts off at 4500 psi
Set Pressure...shuts off at the pressure you select
Hardcover...must be shut off manually
Simple...must be shut off manually and there is no cyclone filter (water/oil separator) which the other models do have.

There are a lot of vendors selling on eBay and AliExpress and at different prices...pick and choose one with good feedback

hopefully rws will have some good words after putting it through some serious testing...
X2 good luck rws
