hey all. looking for advice on a cheap but decent quality entry level handgun 1911 style. thinking about the $100 range. any advice would be greatly appreciated. also anyone with a good used one for sale ?

Hi Dan!

I have a Daisy/Winchester model 11 blowback BB 1911 replica, and love it. But it's over your price range, it sells at about 145-150$. I also have the Umarex Colt Defender, which is a non-blowback, BB shooting pistol, and like it a lot too. It usually sells at under 100$.

Do you want your pistol to be blowback, BB or pellet, all metal or plastic/metal is OK? Is your price range ''elastic''? Here are some suggestions, which I would consider as a start (you may find them at a better price elsewhere):

thanks airmec i was looking at the winchester at canadian tire. it's on sale for 104.95 so 120 with tax. thanks to you too paddyfritz i saw that post and offered him 100 but he wouldn't take it. my wife gave me the ok to get the winchester so i just got back from canadian tire with it. haven't used it yet but looking forward to it. didn't want mess with shipping and all but maybe ddtanks tanfoglio would have been the right choose with the higher budget but a little leary of used without being able to see or use it first. thanks again for the advice guys and happy newyear

I would go with a tanfoglio over the winchester ... just my opinion of course.

yup going for broke. talking to a guy right now for his tanfoglio should have it next week. here we go...only wanted a rifle nothing more now 2 pistols. addicting sport lol

Welcome in the club, started with 1 rifle and 2 gun (tanfoglio and gsg92) now still 1 riffle and 13 guns... :? Will sell 3 after christmas ounce I'm back home from vacation, Right now thermometer is at 29 and full blown sunshine... 8)

29 must be nice. -13 right now in Hanover ON. Don't have the Tanfoglio yet the seller is really hard to communicate with. Hope it comes together. $100 shipped can't beat the price. I'll take pics of all 3 when I get it. :) Cheers
