Hello All,

I’d like to add a nice Anschutz Bolt Action powder burner to my collection of rifles - if anyone has something of interest for sale, please PM me.

Cheers!

There are usually one or two Anschutz .22's for sale at most gun shows. Prices usually run around $1,200.00, seems to me. They are quite the ultimate rimfire rifle to won and shoot.

SRY I do not have one for sale, nor do I have one - yet.

Should be a gun show in Surrey or Vancouver coming up this spring???

Thanks Daryl for the info regarding the purchase of an Anschutz .22 powder burner. I know there are many who might argue at $1200.00 an Anschutz is not the best value Rimfire on the market, but few I think would challenge the build quality and prestige of owning one. I do believe a fellow could order new online from Nordic Marksman Inc. in Nova Scotia; hoping however there’s a preowned somewhere that might be let go at a reasonable price. Just casting out some line to see what’s out there.

The CIL Anschutz (model 34?) were OK and did shoot well. I would expect them to being in the $350.00 to $600.000 range.

Anschutz .22's, heavy barrel varmint models, are popular around here for silhouette shooting. several of the guys have them.

They are a worthwhile addition to the 'collection'. Also popular are the CZ's and earlier BRNO's.

In .17HMR, Anschutz and CZ's rival Marlin's and some custom rifles for accuracy. So far, we've had 2 factory Marlin HMRs, with a

bit of bedding and bore polishing, make 1/2" and smaller 5-shot groups at 100meters. My first one did 1" at 200yards off a bipod-

2 years in a row at the farm when testing scopes for a gopher shoot. My HMR Martini Cadet, that I barreled up and chambered,

has several 3/8", 5-shot groups to it's credit, at 100 meters.

For plinking close in, the .22LR is wonderful. For plinking at longer ranges, the HMR beats it and the .22 WMR hand's down.
