Would this be appropriate to post on CAF to get members to sign against C-71?
Seems like it has been posted on several other boards. I've signed. I think it is now the 4th largest petition ever in Canada's history.

63,000 signatures so far!

Yes, and it has been posted already - at least a couple of times.

Fellow at the range wanted to buy one of my staple guns. I also told him I had a nail gun for sale.

Check this out. Real numbers - up until the petition stopped re-printing the actual #'s. But trust us, we are keeping track. Would the Federal Gov't lie?

Not sure why the seller has to provide his PAL ( according to the article ).... could it be they fishing for something ?
Start of a backdoor registry, why else?
I would agree but there is no requirement to identify the firearm being sold ... as far as I can tell.

If you bought it from a dealer,THEY ALREADY WILL ,your license and PAL will have been recorded, and when you transfer they will know buyers license and serial number of gun.
Not a very good REGISTRY but I think they will be asking for more info once this has been in place for a while.
I also think they will be using the UN Marking scheme as an excuse for setting up a full registry in the future.
But that's just me.

Most firearms coming from China already have UN markings on it. And I'm pretty sure my GSG STG44 has UN markings.

Already starting. The CFP asking for more info to even varify people PALs. Guess name, PAL# and DOB isn't enough. They want phone number, address etc.
