I was using an Air Venturi g7s hand pump to fill my Air Arms s200 and the hose blew off the rifle at about 1000 psi. This is my first and only pcp air rifle so I'm not very familiar with pcp's or pumps. I lost all but two of the ball bearings in the quick disconnect and subsequently lost another and also found a small o-ring on the floor. Don't know where the o-ring belongs. Anybody have similar things happen? I guess that I should order another female quick disconnect. I took the quick disconnect out and now have the hose connected to the Air Arms fill adapter, but the hand pump only pumps to 1000 psi and I don't know why. Should I take the pump apart(Shudder)? Or am I looking at a new hand pump? Any insight would be appreciated.

The O-ring goes inside the female QD fitting that blew off.... Either you didn't have the sliding collar pulled down to lock the ball bearings into the groove in the male QD, or somebody assembled it with some of them missing.... Properly installed they don't come off at 1000 psi....

Thanks for the reply Bob. I guess I'm looking for a new quick connect fitting. Hopefully that's all it will entail

That happened to me once years ago. It was because I didn't push the QD fitting all the way in for it to click and lock. No big deal, just check to make sure it's clicked in all the way next time.

Always push the connector on an spin the ring. I'm surprised it popped at a thousand, not 500
