I’ve never owned many co2 powered guns as I generally don’t like the trouble of co2 cartridges. Having said that, I’ve currently got two co2 powered guns and thought maybe I’d add one more since I’ve got co2 on hand.

I’ve had match grade pcp pistols in the past so I’m aware of the accuracy potential of a pistol. Is there a co2 model, or maybe a few, that stand out as far as accuracy goes? My other two co2 guns are B.B. guns so I’ll go the pellet route this time to improve accuracy potential.

I’d go up to around $300. I’d prefer to stay away from Crosman as I just do not like their triggers.

I don't know how much accuracy you'd get at the 300 mark.
In that range~ just slightly over is the 586-686 by Umarex. The double/single trigger takes a bit of getting used to. Mine is very accurate- more so than I can hold for.

Most accurate pistol I own is still the Crosman 1701-P. The P-rod series trigger group is excellent.
D&L carries a 22-40 variant with this trigger group. The model number escapes my pre-first coffee memory right now. If they'd do this one with the L/W bbl, I'd likely be all over it.

Doc, are you thinking the Crosman 2300t?

I was thinking $300’ish was getting to the top of the co2 pistol market? I know pcp pistols I’ve had were into the $2000 range, but are there other co2 pistols I’m missing? Maybe a whole new market sector I’m not aware of?

I agree with the Doc about the Umarex 586-686 for your given price range.

It looks like it might even be one of the earlier gloss finish ones, which anecdotal stories have as even more accurate than the newer matte finish ones. With the right pellet, these are as good as the Doc says (IMO).
Helipilot is also great to deal with.

If you prefer something other than a revolver-type, track down a Crosman 600 (or maybe a Mark I or II). I know you said no to Crosman in your initial post, but the 600 is something else.

My 2 cents.

You can't go wrong with the 6" 586 for quality and accuracy. Have you considered, say, a Walther CP-88 Competition? The Crosman 600 and Mark l & ll are really nice shooters, but getting hard to find.
The single shot 2300T would be one I'd recommend. Upgrading a 2240 to a similar level could cost more in the long run, but you can do it a bit at a time as budget allows. Add a steel breech, a 10"barrel, a trigger upgrade and proper sights...
CO2 makes multi shot possible, so I'm a big fan. You'll find an improvement in accuracy with pellets vs BBs...

I am tempted to get one, and order in a .177 LW bbl for it.

I also need another a/g like I need a hole in the head. These moments of sanity can be very troublesome...

I have the 586, and the trigger on it is a step above the Umarex auto frame family, and the 586 is a bit more powerful.
I have the 92-F by Umarex, and it's not in the same consistency league as the 586... YMMV, especially depending on your preferences.

I had a Mark 1 here in .22, and it was finely accurate off a good bench rest. The trigger on it left a bit to be desired, but it's one of those must have guns...

On a slightly more cheaper note, the Colt SAA offerings in pellet version have very good triggers. I shoot better with the black versions- the rudimentary sights on them are easier to use than those on the chrome versions.

If you can find this month's copy of Guns of The Old West, there's a fair to middling write up on the 7 1/2" chrome/gold SAA. Their a/g editor shot some nice groups with it.

The 686-6 is Tied as My favorite of My, Co2 shooters, Have Two, and waiting on a Third?

Buy a 2240 and mod it up to 300$ and you will have a very accurate co2 pistol.

I think a moded used 2240 would be the best choice... Even you can find some good deal within the forum....

If I don't already have my 2240, or the ad posted before I got my 2240 ( same a used one but didn't heavily moded yet ), I will get those deals ~

Personally I don't like the 'fake' revolver.... Especially a replica... like a replica pistol withou blow back... IMO, it's just missing something.... Not complete...

Maybe it's just Me, but to Me
The 2240 and it's derivatives, are just boring?
Its a pipe with a handle and trigger!
No denying it's good for it's purpose.
Sure if Your a 'SteamPunk' fan, You can soup one
all up with parts and accessories to glitz it up,
each of many add ons costing more than the original
gun itself! You can spend over a thousand bucks on one,
and that's good, if THAT is your thing.
But I haven't heard of anyone who owns a couple of dozen
handguns, say that it's Their 'Go To' gun to Shoot?
Spent more than a few bucks on My own, but have yet to shoot it.

So the 2240 mod will stop there too...

Otherwise, I will recommend the Tau 7, which still available in the market and CO2, and match grade accuracy. If accuracy is the only target you go for....

Or just forget CO2 and get your self a Beeman P17 it's under 100$
or buy one of the Polish CO2 pistols I forget the model or wait for Wes to get
the new models in his shop and buy that.

I’ve owned the HW40 on two separate occasions. Good gun, but something about it just didn’t work for me, I kept my fas6004 instead.

Maybe Wes’s options are the way to go for the price, or likely the 586...
