I've been eyeing this rifle over the last few months and decided to take the plunge after reading and viewing the positive reviews. It was marked down to $659.99 at Tenda Canada in Richmond Hill, Ontario. I drove down this afternoon to pick it up. Absolutely love the floating, bull barrel on the Boyd Evolution, blue laminate stock. The rifle, minus the scope comes in at about 7 lbs. The single stage trigger pull feels quite responsive and is probably somewhere between 2 to 3 lbs. Absolutely loved the way it shoulders when I picked it up for the first time. A bipod stud would have been a bonus, but hey, you can't have everything! The 22LR barrel can be swapped out for a .17HMR or.22WMR barrel. The bolt is equipped with a wing type lever safety. It'll take some time and lots of shooting for the bolt to smooth out in it's operation/handling.
Going to take it out tomorrow evening for so accuracy testing.

Wow! What a coincidence! Initially, I was going to buy the thumbhole model of the same brand, but when they didn't have it in stock, I settled for the blue Evo instead. It felt very comfortable in my hands and against my shoulder.

The Evo stock is better imo. You got a great deal there. They have a moving sale right now.

If you want to lighten the trigger pull it is easily achieved by changing the spring. You can get a "Yodave trigger kit" for about $18 https://www.yodaveproducts.com/ Yodave is Canadian and the kit works for 452's and 455's. The spring swap is simple to do. It is possible to get the trigger safely below one pound with the lightest of the four springs in the kit. The Yodave spring change is very popular across North America. Here's a tutorial from Rimfire Central https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/s ... p?t=330293 The kit comes with shims to reduce creep, but I've never used the shims on either CZ 452's or CZ 455's. (If you just swap springs you only have to punch out one pin, change springs, and reinstall the pin.)

Alternatively, you could try to get from a hardware store a spring similar in size to the original but lighter. Always do a bump test with a rubber mallet (on the back of the receiver when the barreled action is out of the stock so as not to damage the wood) to make sure the trigger is safe.

Thank-You so much for the info and cool links/tutorials. I happened to stumble on a video demonstrating the spring swap by punching out the pin; just the way you described and it looks like a very simple procedure. So good to know for the future if i ever feel the urge to lighten the trigger pull.

After putting the rifle to the test for the first time last night, I was quite impressed with the accuracy of this rifle out of the box. I used 4 brands of ammo and the barrel seemed to prefer the CCI standard Velocity LRN. The factory setting for the trigger was just right.
