My Ruger P90DC burned in a pickup truck fire approximately 20 years. Ordered a complete set of springs and a set of grips for it last week and installed them today. Any volunteers to proof test it?

I found that "special" volunteer to test fire the gun.

Image

he tied the gun down using a long string to activate the trigger from behind a barricade...50 shots and it didn't blow up...post shoot tear down visual inspection found no damage.

further evaluation to be done before I fire the gun by hand

The parts I woud be worried about are the parts that shouldn't wear or were hardened to prevent wear. Depending on how hot the fire was, it may have lowered the hardness of the parts. Also, there is a powder you can get that will show hairline cracks in metal. That would be worth checking out too.
