Lol, here is a fun little afternoon project. Took my CP1 and used some spare parts/fittings and a Diana Chaser/CP2 stock and Crosman converted barrel. Shoots around 30 shots on air as set up in the 450-500 range, but it would really shine as a co2 bulk fill, probably giving several hundred shots. I know it is silly but it's what I like to do! [emoji16]
I think I'll keep it like this as a fun short range plinker.
These 3-9 scopes are in my optics section on the website and have nice eye relief. Perfect for this gun for me anyway, though a red dot would be better if you were planning to switch back and forth from pistol to carbine.
I think I might buy a bunch of these and some nice red dots I tried out to have in stock here in Canada. This one comes with nice locking turrets and come with rings too!

Tell me what you think! Oh yeah, the balance is right on the trigger guard even with that stuff hanging on the front and it's still super light =).
Oops forgot the picture!

looks pretty good to me. but it will look better when you get the longer barrel on it. are those ohhunt scopes 3yards to infinity like the bug buster. after I saw your post I looked around at some and some were 3yds to inf. and some were 10. thanks w.

Thanks, well this one says 10 but I actually have to turn it a little past 10 at 22 ft to focus nicely so the numbers are a bit off I think. I've tried the other ohhunt with the curved front for shade, and while it is a nice scope it has a poor/short eye relief, so this one is more to my liking.

Forgot to say I like your taste Pete! I think it looks good too, especially in person than the picture, but I'm sure many would think it's a bit ungainly [emoji846]

That is on the compact side.

What is required to convert a crosman bbl?

Not too much, but sort of need a lathe. This barrel wasn't done by me, Ron from Spruce Grove area did it, but he has retired now from airgun mods. The transfer port area of the crosman barrel needs to be cut off and then the barrel needs to have a new port hole put in plus ream out the pellet insertion area on the barrel, and a groove on the end of the barrel needs to be made to fit an oring, plus grooves on the outside for little orings to seal the barrel in the breech, and a few countersunk holes for the grub screws to sit in on top of the barrel. Then the other end can be slimmed down to fit the muzzle brake if you want or it can be left as is and put a crosman sight on it.

I have a lathe now but haven't had the opportunity to have anyone help me get going on it, and I haven't really had much time to work on it either, though I suppose if I was motivated enough I would be doing something with it. I am a little bit wishing I would have gotten myself a drill press first, then worked up to a lathe, since I could use a drill press a hundred times more often, probably because I know what I'm doing on it more than anything :D

You lucky dawg, you! :supz: Lathes rock!

I got no place to set up a lathe. Something I should have done 20 years ago is buy a lathe...

Nice description of the CP-1-M bbl.

Tool Town has a table top d/p on sale for about 170. I should get down to have a look at it before the sale ends.
The d/p at work I use mostly for cutting o-ring grooves suffers from growing run-out problems. Nice ovalized holes. Doesn't seem to matter for holes that have to be threaded though- those turn out more or less normal. Keeping things centered is becoming more of a problem. The other item I'd like to get is a basic adjustable mill table...

That's a very useful item with a drill press, I have a cast iron 2-axis vice for my drill and don't regret the 80$ I paid for.

On phone right now. Excuse auto correct....

There 's a few lathe savvy guys here. I'm pretty sure that they would be more than happy to give pointers.
