These don't even have the impressed rib reinforcement of the 13-XX series, or the reinforcement sliver leaf spring of the older 13's.
I toasted 2 within the last 2 weeks.
I'm going to have to check the junk pile. Wonder if older 760 linkages would be long enough....

Just about had it with Crosman. I realize they have to keep prices down, but the corner cutting has been getting pretty bad as of late. Even a stamped rib reinforcing would be an improvement. Untreated sheet metal :axe:

And I sometimes wonder why I get frustrated over these things... :rolleyes:

What you'd need is something like the Steroid billet levers that Mac1 makes for Benjamin/Sheridan pump rifles. I don't know where you could get that though. If that was me, I think I'd try to braze a steel insert inside the lever, but you'd need oxy-acethylene welding equipment for that, not just a propane torch. Just an idea, maybe worth a thought...

There's a silk ear in here somewhere- just have to look for it.

The 65 + year old red India rubber forearm handle on the 101 broke last night. It had been previously repaired in the same break area.
Replacement will either be walnut or the brown cros-wood pump handle off the 2200- linkage on that is busted anyways. I think I can come up with a replacement handle easier for the 2200 than the 101.
That 101 is a sweet old rifle, brass bbl and all...
