I come from the land of BSA, Webley & Scott (I mean the proper stuff, not Turkish made) and AA (though they didn't even exist when I was airgunning as a kid). The likes of Crosman and Daisy don't get much air time over there so they were pretty new to me on arrival a few years ago.
As I got back into airgunning here, amongst all the other things that have come and gone were a 2240 (I think I fired one CO2 but it was hellish loud indoors) and a 1322 (literally 3 shots, I'm not pumping this thing!). A couple of guys picked up real bargains on here...
Then recently I re-bought a 2240 that became a 1740 with steel breech, LW barrel, hollow probe and Hawke scope that is exceptionally accurate out to 20 yards or so. With the snipped hammer spring, I get 55-60 good shots per CO2.
Even more recently, I re-bought a 1322 and this afternoon I installed the steel breech and added a Bugbuster ready for sighting in. I also have a UTG red dot ready to try on it too. I wouldn't want to shoot it all day (clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-bang, clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-bang etc...) but at close range that allows fewer pumps, it is a lot of fun. I was getting a decent group too with the stock peep sight at about 12 yards.
All in all, now quite happy with my Crosman projects.

Make America great again. Would have Crosman machine and make their own parts. Then out sourcing machining to China or other countries and just assemble in USA. Giving the false impression that its Made in America.

lol~ you scope just bigger than the gun!!

Some one is selling a multi shot 2260 with customized wood stock and forearm for $300 which I think is a good deal if I don't already have one of each this American Classic, I will go for that ~

Got the same 2 platforms. These has Don Cothran and Magnum Air Power parts:

This one arrived last Wednesday. It is a CCS gun with .117 Lothar barrel in 14.6" length. Got incoming Don Cothran parts for it. Actually it will sport a DC 2260 type in lieu of a 2250 (find the longer tube sexier). The C02 cap nut will be a double knurl without that ugly screwdriver slot. I hope Mr. Cothran finishes all of my orders this week. The affable gent got sick for a while.

Oh, a pic of it:

I am stickler when it comes to finish, no half jobs for me.

Had all my grip frames and barrel bands professionally powdercoated. This one is in satin black. Not the slightest remnants of those abhorrent cast marks.

The steel parts chamfered (edges) professionally blued too:

Wow, quite something crossliner! Mine are just the usual mods, yours are several levels above - very nice indeed.
