Macarri makes a 12-13lbs kit that should put a .177 in the 750fps range that is supposed to smooth things right out.Does the Air Hawk take the same sized piston seal as the RWS 34 or is that off as well?Same gun is the Xisco BAM 25 perhaps not as nicely finished but same parts.Hope the 11mm dovetails were cut deep enough to solidly mt a scope.

I used a diane 34 vortek 12fpe kit in my umarex surge with no issues whatsoever. Should be the same internal specifications as the airhawk. The shot cycle is significantly improved. Took all the clunkiness out.

That's the Old School kit I mentioned I wish I got.
AirHawk is a 34 clone, most parts are interchangeable. Tune kits, seals, springs are interchangeable.
Lots of reviews on GTA and other forums saying that tune kits in the clones do wonders.
If you put a $100 kit in a$60 gun, you may have a $200 gun in the end.

Looks in VG shape ,dovetails appear cut deep but early model with no stop on the compression tube.Might be better off with a one piece mt /steel perhaps? No sights 495fps version.

I've just got a cheap Brasko 3x9 and CT 2 piece scope mounts. Shooting JSB heavies 10.3, you only get 14-15ft/lbs anyways. Never had a problem with scope or mounts in 2yrs, 3000+ pellets through it. Not much more effort to cock than 495 spring, with some work, it shoots smoother with less recoil with the full spring.

Won't be leaving it at 495fps so perhaps the steel Sportsmatch rings are in order.Would be able to use the scope stop arrester pin as there is no scope stop.Looking for 800 fps or thereabouts not 1000fps.

That's about where mine shoots with JSB heavies, using spring from R&R.

Full power from R&R. Also liked JSB Exact, but was a hair better with Heavies. RWS 350 kept breaking scopes, I put William's AG peep sights on it.

William's peep sight is a good things I have it on my 2240 carbine and it just works so well since the first day ~ nailing down the dandelion in 10 yards just easy ~

However if goes further, my eye can't let me see the target well and I have to use other guns with scopes....

The 12 groove barrels are Chinese and the RWS /Diana are 8 this was only for a 2-3 year period withdrawn due to customer complaints affecting only the 34 and 350 rifles.Look at the new RWS with the cheap breakable plastic fiber optic sights now.Cost cutting parts outsourced no doubt from Xisico.

I also purchased two of these from Walmart. Both guns got a thorough bore cleaning before any shot cycles (at least 40 patches til they were clean?!) One got a basic tune-up, (de-burring, new "Blue" main seal) , and became a very pleasant, reasonably accurate gun for a first time shooter. The second one got a chamber honing and polishing, mirror polish on the piston, and a Vortek HO kit for a 34. The stock was also stripped, re-shaped and finished in clear. It has a 3-12x44 UTG compact scope on it, an ideal match. It is also a pleasant, accurate gun shooting 10mm or less groups @10m. Have yet to chrony it but I would say it's in the neighborhood of 800 fps. Well worth the exercise, a nice kit gun..

Any trouble with the mount slipping in the dovetail ? Has anyone tried the UK made Tinbum tuning kits?
