What a beauty ~

How's its power then? Is it a beast at the same time?!

Mr. Yep, I have not shot it yet.

The valve is just an OEM Crosman, so the performance should be about the same.

The 10" barrel is a Lothar, so it should do nicely.

I have 2 iterations of this gun actually; I just remove the JSAR adapter (it has an internal power adjuster) and its attachments, then I replace it w/ a Don Cothran power adjuster and, voila, it is now in pistol form.

4 shots at 15 yards using 4.52 JSB 8g pellets:

As if I could see the "built-in" windflag, lol!

I like the way it groups :drinkers:

Not really, Mr. Yep2x. It is pretty cold in Gallup when it gets cold, lol!

I managed to get tighter groups than the one in the picture.

5 shots all in the black Sharpie mark after I adjusted the windage and elevation a bit.

I might install a 1-4x24 Optisan on this rig because I really like its accuracy!

And oh, this carbine is pretty heavy, lol!

For sure it should shoot better than your initial test ~

The American Classic should be a light weight accurate carbine ~ how's this one weights? You put too many metal on it ~ lol ~

Lol, it does weigh a lot but I do not have a scale, sir!

Yes, no plastic on this one and the stainless DC parts only add to the overall weight.

It is a nice semi bench gun though, lol!

When I get to our house in Abq., I would be able to try it out at 30 yards or so, from the reception area to the end of the back lawn:

My planned shooting table, lol!

The corner of the backyard fence is where I will put my targets :D

Btw, we bought this house just recently because it is almost our 3rd year in the USA.

US citizenship to follow, lol!

Congrats!!

It looks your backyard just so close to other houses... Do you know you have a good neighbor or not yet?

The city law against the discharge of guns is very strict here now... I remember I would put the targets on the backyard, and shot them from the balcony ( better than shooting things above and you won't know where the pellets would fly to, right?), but right now, I just shoot inside the house with doors, windows closed....

Mr. Yep, it is a very quiet neighborhood and decent. The house beside ours is owned by a major (or was it a captain?) of the police dept. in Abq. There is also an East Indian couple; the husband an engineer or something.

I do not see people roaming around and the cars are always mostly in the garage.

With my silenced airguns, I do not think I will trouble anyone, but you are right, it is risky. I just might go to the range, lol!

Well, this one has Cothran parts too, so I will just post it here:

Image

It now sports a 14.6" Lothar .177 barrel and a side focus 4-12x40 South Korean Bushy Engage Deploy MOA reticle. Nice fine reticle but I find it quite busy. Too many hash marks, I suppose, but they are really thin and good for precision shooting.

Image

20 yards; 5 shots (it looks like it's only 3 but it really is 5); JSB 8.4g, 4.52 head; 8 pumps; semi squat position with a low table as bench.

It shoots nice! Well it is a Lothar. Should do even better on a proper bench table with sufficient front and rear bags.

Might install a BlueFork barrel band on this one but free floated, it shoots great!

Those o-rings around the barrel are there to improve the barrel's rigidity--there is no barrel sag though.

5 shots; 8 pumps; same JSB pellets; 25 yards with my 1377...Yes, I moved the target to another tree, so it is farther :D

Image

Yesterday I actually did better, putting 4 pellets (shots 1, 2, 3, and 5) in a one hole, but the 4th shot went about 1/4" to the right and was also about 1/4" low. I swear it was the pellet's fault  My crosshairs were really right on the dot, so I believe it was really that pellet that was heavier than the rest, I guess.

I am now using sandbags but my table is not that great--it is not even a table, it is just a solid and tall Rainbow vacuum box, which is about 20 inches tall. I am using a foot stool as my chair, lol!

Will be ordering a Blue Fork Band from HPA Sports. I was going to yesterday but there is something wrong with their site, I could not seem to proceed to subsequent levels, albeit I registered again per Miss Claire's/Mr. Joe's instruction--they are good people, this couple!

To reiterate, the Bushy Engage's Deploy MOA reticle is really nice for target work but is not good for hunting--too thin rets and densely packed hashlines.

I have a thinking... Did you try not using the silencer? Because I think your setup should be more accurate... And we don't have silencer here so I don't have experience on this stuff and maybe it would affect the accuracy... or, maybe not... But it should be easy to remove and try, right?

And if you have a chrony, maybe you can see the fps difference in the same 8 pumps, it would do something too...

And 25 meters, I think you use 10 pumps would be better?!

:) happy shooting ~
