3.5 lbs. is quite a bit for single action handgun. That will likely cost points
however is better than having to DA that type of pistol.

We were actually talking about this. You will always hear people say. Put a trigger in it. Or I need to make the gun lighter. But never once do they lift weights, or train there hands. So that trigger isn't hard, or gun is easier to carry.

Well PPC semi autos are suppose to be more like police service pistols. So you are going to see alot of Glocks, Sig 226s or 320s, S&W M&P

They are seeing a increase of CZ 75 Shadows, so they were thinking dropping the trigger down to 3# Since many even with a spring change barely makes 3.5#. Mines a SP01 so I got a 4.5# in it. I'm fine with it.

Same in the muzzleloading world, where they think a 10 pound rifle is too much for offhand shooting. Some say they cannot shoot anything over 7 1/2 pounds. My bro says those must be
accountants.
