a Palmetto State Armory kit gun. I ordered 2 stripped receivers using one on this build and not sure yet what I'll build the other one into. Palmetto has very good pricing and has an unlimited lifetime guarantee on their guns and parts. Spent a total of $360 on this build.

Jeez, 360 for a complete ( assembly required AR ) ? Or just the upper, and LPK, Stock?

I built off a PSA, a lower for my father.

Cheapest assembled AR in Canada is like 600$ and that's a Chinese Norinco. That PSA would be over 800$.

assembled complete upper with lower parts kit including tube and stock $299
stripped lower receiver $40
A2 quick detach rear sight $12
$10 FFL transfer fee for lower receiver
I have a bunch of magazines so didn't include that in cost.
$361

That's only 485 CAD. Cheapest brand name, were the S&W M&P and they were going on sale for 650 + Tax. I got a AR lower sitting in my filing cabinet. Only to have a registered AR in my name. Sold all mine since I don't shoot rifles much anymore. I built about 1/2 dozen. Also repaired them for people.
