Just wondering about reusing BB’s. I am shooting at targets on a cardboard box filled with magazines. They are pretty easy to pick out with a magnet. I know BB’s aren’t expensive.....but . But I also don’t want to damage the barrel of my new Daisy Avanti 499. I am amazed how accurate it is.

Yes, you may be able to reuse BB most of the time, but all it takes is a one in thousands to create a real bad jam and a repair bill that will allow you to buy a lifetime of new BB's.

Maybe I just shoot much less of BBs than pellets, and the main purpose of my BB guns are for collection, I didn't have a jam due to re-using the BBs... It doesn't mean I never get a jam yet, but they are all caused by the gun, like the Steel Force feeding problem, or I want to use out the last drop of the co2, and have a jam finally, etc...

And plus I didn't make a good trapping system for the BBs ( shoots too less), or for plinking outside and not a easy job to re collect the used BBs after session... Say I will say re use the BBs, but actually in the real world, I can't re use them much ~

And as it's STEEL bb, hard and tough, if you are not shooting the hard surface ( where will be not a good target as it will bouncing back hard too), it's very difficult to damage it, so after cleaning ( wipe with clothes etc), I don't see any problem to use it again.

But it will be oxidize quick, don't save and re use in next time session after you get it out from the bottle for the first time usage ...

I think there are a lot of people who recycle their bb's. If it worth your time to reclaim something that cost 1/3 of a cent then all the power to you. Really not a bad thing to pony up the $5 or so and use the time to shoot instead.

When I bought 10,000 for under 20$. Why would I reuse them?

It's just anyway you need to tidy up and clean the scenes after shooting, if it won't hurt your gun and it's an easy job to collect them, just why not re use them...

Aren't we encourage Recycle, Reduce and Reuse?! :)

I will reuse the plastic bags if I have to use one at the time I forgot my shopping bag. So why not re use the BBs ~

Since I shoot my BBs into a trap stuffed with jeans, the BBs do not get dented in any way, shape or form. I'll re-use them until I shoot at the range when they'll be finally discarded for good.
